Wear Measurement Fixture
September - December 2019
We made a laser fixture to measure the continuous wear created by the sliding pin & slot. Our spec was up to one-thousandth inch or 25 microns (for normal people).
We used Fusion360 to model the hardware, and used LabVIEW to create the data acquisition system. Interesting fact was this wasn't just my first time asking vendors for guidance, but we actually went to their office to get help wiring them up!
